California Peer Parent Network

The California Peer Parent Network is developing a statewide workforce of Certified Peer Parents to provide emotional support and linkages to other resources to Parents addressing mental health and substance abuse concerns to strengthen their families. Advocacy and networking efforts statewide ensure effective policies, adequate funding, and accessible evidence-based to enhance well-being of diverse Parents, Children & Youth and embrace cultural humility and foster equity and inclusion.  

The Peer Parent Certification is a comprehensive program addressing 17 Core Competencies through Strategic Training, Guided Practice, and Learning Communities. Everyone must meet the definition of a Peer Parent to engage in this Certification which can be used to secure employment or volunteer to help others in enriching the well-being of Parents, Children & Youth.
