Position Overview:
Parents Anonymous® Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and competent Controller. The Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, internal control maintenance, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient management of all accounting functions. This role plays a key part in supporting the financial integrity of the nonprofit and works closely with the leadership team to support informed decision-making to the delivery of Evidence-Based Parents Anonymous® Programs to ensure well-being and family strengthening for diverse Parents, Children and Youth. The Controller is part of executive management which oversees the Agency’s finances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial functions for the organization, including allocations and billing for each federal, state and county contracts and grants.
- Plans, manages, and oversees the daily functions, operations, and activities of the Agency’s payroll, GAAP, internal controls, program budgeting, finance and accounting functions, including preparing, monitoring, forecasting, and analyzing financial information, financial processing, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Manages and participates in the development and administration of the Agency’s annual budget; directs the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; directs the monitoring of revenue and approves expenditure; directs and implements adjustments as necessary.
- Develops and standardizes procedures and methods to improve and continuously monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned programs, service delivery methods, and procedures; identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations to the CEO.
- Develops and monitors all Fiscal Policies to ensure accuracy, completeness and auditing standards.
- Engage in budget and revenue forecasting as well as cash flow analysis and lead fiscal management operations.
- Review Payroll, Funding Reports and Produce Financial Statements Monthly.
- Serve as the lead for Annual Audits of the Agency and by outside funders.
- Recruit, train and supervise all Finance Department staff.
- Utilize Smartsheet to document all responsibilities, deliverables, results, and timelines to achieve S.M.A.R.T. Parents Anonymous® operations.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant non-profit experience is required.
- Mastery skills in Excel, Microsoft Office Programs, and Non-Profit Bookkeeping Software.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
