Position Overview:

Parents Anonymous Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and compassionate mental health professional who has either a ASW, AMFT, or APCC with at least 1,000 hours and a valid and active registration with the BBS. The Clinician will provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessments and provide individual, family, and group counseling, for diverse parents, children, and youth, ensuring services align with the Parents Anonymous® vision and mission. The role involves facilitating Parents Anonymous® groups, conducting outreach and interviews to engage participants, and supporting the development of Parent Group Leaders. Key responsibilities include triaging occurrences, delivering crisis intervention, completing required documentation, and maintaining productivity standards while fostering therapeutic processes like mutual support, parent leadership, and personal growth. Clinicians will also participate in regular supervision, community networking, and ensure adherence to program protocols to promote family resiliency and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in shared leadership® with Staff and Parent Leaders to develop a Program Plan to provide mental health services in the assigned SPA 1
  • Complete 120 hours of Clinical Training on Evidence-Based Parents Anonymous® and other Evidence-Based Practices and develop competencies to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Engage successfully with diverse Parents, Children and Youth through the completion of a Comprehensive Assessment on all 7 domains and the Building Family Strengths Interview (pre and post outcome surveys) with a diagnosis and Treatment Plan documented in CareLogic (EHR System).
  • Facilitate Weekly at least 2 Parents Anonymous® Adult Groups and 2 Children and Youth Groups to Model Fidelity.
  • Provide individual and family counseling using selected Evidence-Based Practices including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.
  • Conduct a minimum of 28 hours of billable Mental Health Services Weekly.
  • Document through Progress Notes for all Outpatient Care Services (OCS) and Prevention & Early Intervention Services (PEI) and other CalAIM activities in the CareLogic Electronic Records System.
  • Contribute to the development and implement outreach strategies to meet Service Delivery Goals with Mental Health SPA Team.
  • Attend Weekly Individual and Group Supervision for clinical hours.
  • Attend Weekly Outreach and Group Facilitation Workshops.
  • Engage in collateral contacts with relevant individuals.
  • Develop strategic partnership with community-based agencies, schools, faith-based entities and others to promote Parents Anonymous® Services to foster well-being.
  • Provide crisis intervention to diverse parents, children and youth.
  • Participate in weekly clinical/instance review supervision and staff meetings.
  • Report immediately to Senior Director of Mental Health Services regarding all crisis matters.
  • Advocate and embrace the vision, mission, and goals of Parents Anonymous®.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary to fulfill agency and/or program requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited graduate school.
  • Must be fully registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences and have 1000 hours towards licensure.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred and other languages spoken is a plus.
  • Must provide documentation of being fully vaccinated including at least one booster shot against the COVID-19 virus.
  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years working in social services with Parents and/or Youth.
  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of individual or group counseling.
  • Must have well-developed computer and EHR skills.

  • Willingness to be flexible to fulfill the requirements of the position
  • Must be culturally responsive, responsible, and able to seek assistance from supervisor when crises arise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 – $40.00 per hour
