Position Overview:

Parents Anonymous® Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager of Quality Assurance to lead our quality assurance and compliance efforts across all mental health services. This role is critical in ensuring program fidelity, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of LA County Department of Mental Health (DMH) requirements, and a passion for supporting evidence-based practices that strengthen families.

Key Responsibilities:  

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) program for all mental health services, including individual, family, and group therapy, as well as case management, mental health promotion, and crisis intervention.
  • Conduct daily audits of electronic health records to ensure completeness and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including those set forth by the LA County Department of Mental Health and Medi-Cal.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address any deficiencies identified in clinical documentation to ensure Model Fidelity of Evidence-Based Parents Anonymous® Services and other Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Facilitate the agency’s Utilization Review Committee (URC) process, ensuring that all billing productivity requirements are met monthly.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Mental Health Services to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote quality improvement and address and reduce risk management.
  • Participate in all LA DMH Quality Assurance & other meetings as assigned.

Training and Staff Development:

  • Provide training and guidance to clinical and non-clinical staff on documentation standards, billing procedures, and other relevant policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance clinical and non-clinical staff’s knowledge and skills in evidence-based practices and the Parents Anonymous® model.
  • Assist with the recruitment, training, and supervision of graduate student interns.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze data on service delivery including participant goal numbers by service area, and service delivery units from outreach through service completion.
  • Prepare weekly reports for the Senior Director of Mental Health Services & Executive Management on the agency’s performance in relation to quality assurance goals and objectives. objectives.

Direct Services:

  • Facilitate and document weekly Evidence-Based Parents Anonymous® Adult and Children & Youth Groups.
  • Conduct and document Comprehensive Adult and Children Assessments
  • Participate in all required training and weekly programmatic and/or clinical supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work and 4+ years of experience in DMH Quality Assurance.
  • Active AMFT/ACSW/APCC status with all hours completed to sit for licensure, and ability to obtain LMFT/LCSW/LPCC within one year of hire.
  • Active and valid BBS license required.
  • Proven experience with LA County DMH documentation standards and Medi-Cal compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure program fidelity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and documentation tracking tools such as Smartsheets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
