Position Overview:
Parents Anonymous® Inc. is seeking a driven and community-focused Regional Peer Workforce Developer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about connecting individuals with lived experience to career pathways in peer support. You will conduct outreach, deliver training, and facilitate employment placement in alignment with trauma-informed and equity-driven practices.

A Peer is an individual who is self-identified as having lived experience with the process of recovery from mental illness, substance use disorder, or both, either as a consumer of these services or as the parent or family member of the consumer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct targeted outreach to recruit at least 7 eligible peers per month and engage with community organizations.
- Initiate contact with at least 20 potential employer partners monthly and secure 2 MOUs per month.
- Facilitate onboarding and individualized support planning for Peer Workforce participants.
- Deliver the 80-hour Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Training to cohorts of at least 10 participants.
- Provide case management and connect participants to wraparound services including transportation, childcare, and mental health support.
- Coordinate job readiness workshops and work-based learning placements.
- Match peers with placements and provide post-placement coaching and support for 6–12 months.
- Track employer engagement and program milestones using Smartsheet and other required systems.
- Administer peer and employer surveys at 4, 6, and 12 months, with a target of 10 completed surveys monthly.
- Encourage ongoing development and CEU tracking within the Peer Parent Network.
- Complete Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification and all CEU requirements.
- Participate in all required trainings, supervision, and occasional weekend events.
- Travel to Parents Anonymous Headquarters in Claremont, CA for onboarding and training.
Qualifications:
- MUST VERIFY THAT YOU ARE A PEER (WITH LIVED EXPERIENCE): A Peer is an individual who is self-identified as having lived experience with the process of recovery from mental illness, substance use disorder, or both, either as a consumer of these services or as the parent or family member of the consumer.
- Must work 2 evenings a week and weekend hours as needed.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English highly preferred; additional languages a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have at least a high school diploma. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in employment development, workforce placement, career counseling, outreach, or peer support services is strongly preferred.
- Strong Communication & Outreach Skills: Ability to engage, recruit, and collaborate with employers, community organizations, and peers in various settings.
- Experience assisting individuals with resume building, interview preparation, and job readiness is a plus.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed to attend job fairs, outreach events, and meet program deliverables.
- Must be technically proficient, particularly in maintaining accurate documentation of outreach, placements, and follow-ups using tools such as Smartsheets, Excel, or other tracking systems.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.

- Must have a working vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and have the ability to go to work and outreach in the surrounding area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
