The California Department of Social Services, Office of Child Abuse Prevention (CDSS/OCAP), a State Advisory Committee, and Parents Anonymous® Inc. are collaborating on a joint project to develop and maintain a California Parent Engagement Center. The Center is a statewide database of parent engagement programs and strategies that will assist the state in moving toward the use of evidence-based/evidence-informed efforts that include meaningful involvement of parents. The database will be accessible to all California communities and other interested individuals and organizations. |

You can help us gather information on how parents are involved in the development and implementation of direct service programs, trainings, public awareness, public education, policy and systems change by completing the online survey at http://panetwork.parentsanonymous.org/asp/cpi/start.htm. Hard copies of the survey are also available. The first round of information-gathering will take place from July 1-September 30, 2008. SO DO IT NOW!
The findings from completed surveys will provide us with new insight on how California can improve the development, implementation and evaluation of parent engagement to achieve positive outcomes for our communities.
You can also help us inform others about the survey by making presentations using the Survey Promotional Kit and by distributing materials.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. If you need more information,
